As a Jointblog reader, you already know one of our missions here is to provide a space for observations on media trend watching. The Jointblog also serves as our own online experiment in search engine optimization (SEO). Using only free online tools and software with no usage of paid advertising or paid search, we've been brand building online.
Through our main site JointCommunications.com and this Jointblog, we achieved #1 natural organic search results on all the search engines for Joint Communications in December. Last month, we nearly had across-the-board #1 organic search results for Media Trend Watching...except for one holdout: Yahoo! On February 23, 2006, we were #2.
Well, just two weeks later, I just did another search and we now are #1 on Yahoo! for Media Trend Watching.
If you want to be found on the web, strategies must include SEO rules. And we'll keep building on them. If you'd like to discuss our thoughts on SEO and other optimizing strategies, we'd love to hear from you.
