In his continuing pursuit of truthiness, Stephen Colbert unveiled his "The DaColbert Code" last week to help him predict the Oscars. Using his incomparible logic, he somehow nailed it, going 5-for-5 with the top Oscar awards.
Best Picture ("Crash"), Best Actor (Phillip Seymour Hoffman), Best Actress (Reese Witherspoon), Best Supporting Actor (George Clooney) and Best Supporting Actress (Rachel Weisz)...he guessed them all.
Okay, Ebert & Roeper went 10 for 10...but they're professionals. But are they defending truthiness? Thumbs up for Colbert.
Get that man on the red carpet. Yes, he's afraid of bears...but that's just sensible. And that's the word.
